Angela Healy is the CEO and Co-Owner of AvenueWest Managed Corporate Housing. Angela has a strong record of leadership in real estate investment, real estate management and real estate franchise ownership, business development, and commercial banking with more than 25 years of real estate industry experience. She is the co-owner of multiple AvenueWest Managed Corporate Housing Franchises and AvenueWest Global Franchise, LLC. She guides the real estate franchise’s strategies for growth and ensures that AvenueWest’s core philosophy of investor-centric decision making is reflected throughout the company.
During her tenure, AvenueWest has grown exponentially from a small real estate brokerage to a national, award-winning franchise organization, representing annual gross revenues above $20 million and over $150 million in residential real estate under management. Angela is a licensed real estate agent in Colorado, California, and Georgia. When not at work, you can find Angela spending quality time with her family.
Please describe what your company does today.
For over 20-years, AvenueWest Managed Corporate Housing has become synonymous with quality and customer-focused corporate housing. We provide fully furnished condos, townhomes, and homes to our corporate clients that are relocating employees or bringing consultants in on assignment. Our leases are month-to-month leases with a 30-day notice to provide corporations with the most flexibility for their traveling employees. We are a franchise with 15 offices throughout the United States with properties in over 100 cities.
What aspect of your team or company culture are you most proud of, and how are you maintaining it?
There is a genuine camaraderie and willingness to work hard and help one another. Our franchisees develop solutions to shared challenges. We don’t view each other as competition, but rather as partners working towards a shared vision. Everyone is laser-focused on the overall success of our team.
What is the most important thing you're working on right now, and how are you making it happen?
The growth of our company through franchise expansion is my focus right now. To accomplish this, we are exploring a number of ways to reach target new audiences through enhanced marketing and communication efforts. We are investing in additional marketing support, amplifying our brand through articles and podcasts, and refreshing our website.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve received as a CEO?
Celebrate the small wins on a daily basis. Don’t be so focused on the future that you forget to celebrate milestones reached along the way. Learn from mistakes, and make adjustments for the future so that they aren’t repeated. This advice has served me well over the years.
What has been the most meaningful aspect of your engagement with the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network?
Prior to joining the BEN Network, it was difficult to find peer groups that could relate to the specific business challenges we encountered. It has provided an invaluable network of advisors, where I can be transparent and gain personalized, trusted advice for addressing problems and planning for the future. I am surrounded by peers who are going through or have gone through similar experiences, and their willingness to listen and provide advice has been invaluable.
